What's it like at ECC?
It's like coming home.

It can be scary visiting a church for the first time. What are the people like? Do they have a safe place for my kids? What kind of clothes should I wear? These are just a few questions everyone has before visiting a church for the first time.

Well, here's some good news: We've got the answers! And we want you to feel right at home when you walk through the doors for the first time.

If you want to get a feel for how our adult service goes, check out the sermons page on this website. In-person, you get a better idea, but watching online first will help you know what to expect.

Now, let's answer some questions:

  • What is it like?

One of the kids in our church asked Pastor Shannon why we met in a church building instead of homes like they did in the New Testament. Pastor told him, "We ARE meeting in a home; it's just a big one!" But this question gave Pastor Shannon an idea: why not make it more like home? When you join us for worship, you'll notice we have high-top tables with stools, comfortable sofas, soft chairs, donuts, and a coffee bar in the Sanctuary. The idea is that when we come together to Worship the Lord and Hear from His Word we should feel right at home in His presence.

  • What about my kids?

We LOVE kids so much. The majority of the space in our church building is dedicated to kids. When you walk through the door, look to the right: you'll find our kid's check-in area. It's so easy to register and check-in; most of the kids do it themselves. Once they are checked in they can join all the other kids for worship, a bible lesson, and fun.

  • Where do I park?

Great question, we have a small parking lot! But the good news is that we are downtown and have access to main street parking, the library parking lot, and street parking on Elm Street.

  • What do I wear?

Anything you want, we don't have a dress code to worship Jesus!

  • What time should I come?

Service starts at 10:45 am. People start showing up around 10:15 am to hang out before worship. Feel free to come before or right on time, whatever feels right to you. We're just happy you're coming to worship with us!

  • How can I get connected?

When you come to church, we will give you all sorts of information about small groups and opportunities to serve our community. If you need to talk to Pastor Shannon, he's available via email, text, or phone.
